Kidapawan City – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through Regional Executive Director Atty. Felix S. Alicer, formally turned over the Resilience Roadmap and Investment Portfolio for Risk Resilience (IPRR) to the Provincial Government of Cotabato under the leadership of Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza.

The roadmap, funded by a technical assistance grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and developed under the DENR’s Risk Resiliency Program, provides a comprehensive assessment of the province’s climate and disaster risks. It outlines strategies to adapt to climate change, manage weather-related emergencies, and promote low-emission, sustainable development.

The IPRR further translates these strategies into a prioritized list of fundable projects, serving as a master plan for coordinated investments of local and national agencies, while also identifying opportunities for Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). Governor Mendoza welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that the roadmap and portfolio will serve as an essential guide in building a safer, stronger, and climate-resilient Cotabato Province.
