Kidapawan City, North Cotabato – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-12, in partnership with PENRO Cotabato, successfully held a two-day Alternative Dispute Resolution on Wheels (ADRow) event on October 1-2, 2024, at PENRO Cotabato and Barangay Sibawan. The program resolved 42 land dispute cases and facilitated the signing of Compromise Agreements, showcasing ADR’s effectiveness in promoting peaceful settlements.
DENR-12 ADR Focal Person Atty. Mae Fretzel Deadio emphasized ADR as a faster and more cost-effective method of resolving land disputes, promoting mutual understanding and peace without the need for court proceedings. The ADRow program brings these services directly to the public, making conflict resolution more accessible.
Supporting the event were PENR Officer Radzak Sinarimbo, MSD Chief Eunice Calawen, Asst. TSD Chief Fernando Orena, and ADR Officers Atty. Claire E. Tejam, Marson Gagit, Felix Sayago, and Rajiv A. Macamimis.
