Kidapawan City, Cotabato – In line with the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO) Cotabato extended its support to the vulnerable youth of Kidapawan City through a meaningful gift-giving activity on March 19, 2025.

The initiative, held at the Kidapawan City Youth and Custodial Center in Barangays Singao and Poblacion, aimed to provide comfort and essential needs to children under the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Among the beneficiaries were Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), Children at Risk (CAR), and youth residing at the Custodial Center. A total of 30 children received hygiene kits, slippers, and meals, offering them not just basic necessities but also a sense of dignity and care.

This outreach effort is part of PENRO Cotabato’s broader Women’s Month celebration, which highlights the importance of inclusivity, compassion, and empowerment, particularly for women and children in vulnerable situations. Through this activity, the agency reaffirmed its commitment to community service, ensuring that even the most marginalized groups receive the support and attention they deserve.

The event was made possible through the coordination and collaboration with DSWD 12 and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Kidapawan City.
