Kidapawan City, Cotabato – The DENR-PENRO Cotabato Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP) Technical Working Group (TWG) extended technical assistance during the Levelling-Off Workshop and Orientation on the FLUP formulation for the Municipality of Magpet on May 26, 2025 at Kidapawan City.

A total of 29 barangay captains and officials from the forestland areas of Magpet participated in the activity, along with the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) and staff, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources (MENR) Officer and staff, and other stakeholders.

The orientation aimed to capacitate local stakeholders on the importance of FLUP as a key planning tool aligned with the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), following FMB Technical Bulletin No. 2. The FLUP is expected to be finalized within the year and adopted by 2026 to guide the sustainable management of Magpet’s forestlands.
