Kidapawan City, Cotabato – A new opportunity is brewing for local farmers! The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Cotabato officially turned over a cacao and coffee grinder machine to the Bangbang Unified Farmers Association (BUFA) during a MOA signing ceremony on November 11, 2025, at the PENRO Conference Room. The project is part of the Social Enterprise Development Support Project under the National Greening Program (NGP), designed to help farmers turn their forest-grown products into profitable enterprises.
PENR Officer Radzak B. Sinarimbo, together with OIC-CENRO Matalam Abdulnagib T. Ringia, Chief TSD Mosa D. Dimaampao, and Chief MSD Ma. Theresa C. Menor, led the event joined by BUFA officers and members. The grinder will allow the group to process their cacao and coffee more efficiently, boosting both product quality and farmers’ income.
With initiatives like this, DENR-PENRO Cotabato continues to empower communities proving that forest protection and livelihood growth can thrive hand in hand.
