KIDAPAWAN CITY<\/em><\/strong> \u2013<\/strong> In celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO) Cotabato and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) held a tree-planting event on September 20, 2024, at the Mechanized and Modernized Forest Nurseries (MMFN) in Barangay Amas, Kidapawan City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 300 indigenous seedlings, including Bayok, Dao, and Narra were planted by 120 government employees from both agencies on a one-hectare site. The activity highlights the government\u2019s ongoing commitment to environmental conservation, with a focus on mitigating climate change and promoting sustainable natural resource management. This initiative also served as a tribute to public servants who have dedicated their lives to the nation, emphasizing the theme of the celebration: “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes.”<\/p>\n\n\n
